How to polish every time!
Spider webs, angel hair, swirls mark . Several terms to define these nasty little scratches that appear by a beautiful summer sun on the hood of your car! Fortunately, you can get rid of it with a good polish because these are just imperfections in the clear layer that covers your paint. With the right tools, you should be able to make them go away without a problem.
Wash your car
The first step is, of course, cleaning the car. To achieve optimal polishing you need the cleanest surface possible.
Rinse the car with water to remove dust and mud, and when the dirt is no longer removed, it's time to soap the car. We recommend the use of a sea sponge and a neutral pH soap.
To wash the car, soap and rinse one section at a time. Start with the roof. Finish with the wheels and the exhaust pipes. Ideally, use a brush for these items.
Clay bar or bread and drying
Once the car washed and rinsed, pass a clay bar on the vehicle, so as to remove the impurities from the paint. A what? A bar or bar of clay looks like a bar of soap for the bathroom. It is passed over the car with the help of a lubricant. It is this small bar that will remove the chemical, organic and physical contaminants that have become embedded in the paint. Our expert uses a rubber “clay bar”. They are less messy, more durable, and can be lubricated with soapy water.
When this task is finished, rinse the car again, and dry the body using a microfiber towel. You can also use a chamois. Microfiber towels are less likely to damage the finish.
And now we polish
To remove the “spider webs”, it is recommended to do two polishes. The first is to apply the polish using an aggressive pad, while the second is to apply the polish using a soft pad.
Before you start, we recommend that you hide the plastic trim, such as window sills, to avoid damaging them.

.To polish, you need a polisher or an orbital machine. Aggressive pads are usually microfibers. Apply the polish to the pad, and rub the pad over the paint to spread the product. When the product is well distributed, start your machine. Polish one section at a time, varying the direction.
Once the section is polished, remove the excess product using a clean microfiber towel.
After this “aggressive pad” stage, 95% of the “spider webs” will have disappeared. However, the finish of the paint will present stains that seem to project deep into the paint. Called "holograms" by professionals, they can be removed using a gentle polish, To get more tips, please read: best car buffer
Soft polishing
We repeat the previous step in the same way, but this time with a soft pad. They are generally made of foam and have a more uniform surface.
Warning. Some polishes can be used with all types of pads, while others are designed for a particular type. Be sure to read the recommendations on the polish package before applying it.
Application of protection
Once the soft polishing is finished, your car's finish should no longer have any major defects. If certain spots persist despite everything, do not be persistent. Your finish may be damaged beyond what a polishing can repair.
After polishing, your vehicle's paint is essentially in the open air, without protection. It is therefore recommended to finish polishing by applying a wax or sealer to protect your finish, and to increase its shine.
Our expert recommends the application of a sealer, which requires less effort, and which offers better protection than a conventional wax.
